[safnog-oc] SAFNOG-8 Postponement

Hi All,

Please note that after the SAFNOG-8 OC Weekly meeting on Tuesday, it was
clear that we needed to make a decision regarding the conference which was
due to take place 3 weeks from now.

A meeting between the SAFNOG MC, represented by Aurora, Portia and Mark and
our Local Host, NSPAZ, represented by Geoff, Christina and Zeko, was held
on Wednesday morning, and due to the current low numbers of participation
locally (both on registrations and paper submissions), it was decided that
it would be best to postponement the event by a few more weeks to 3-4
October 2023. This will allow our local host more time to prepare and to
further promote the event locally. Additionally, the conference fee will be
waived and registration will be free.

Please find the official communication regarding the postponement attached
here. This will also be posted on the website.

Sponsors have been notified separately and so will the registered delegates
who are not part of the OC.

The communication of the postponement will be announced officially on the
mailing list and up on the website.

P.S. Please note that the weekly meetings on Tuesday will continue.
