We are working as local organizing committee to push for more registration and we will be meeting next week Tuesday to iron most of the urgent issues at hand.


In terms of registration in general like i indicated earlier, paying using VISA/Mastercard is not common in Tanzania as Mobile Money option is widely used hence the importance of emphasizing onsite registration.


PS: At the bottom of the eventbrite page for registration, this option of onsite registration is not that visible and its easier for someone not to figure it our as the font is to tiny.


Meanwhile, we will get back to the OC on the issue of tzNOG students participation who we believe should be given either free pass or find a way to fund their participation.

i think worthy questions are:
# is $50 too high for the local (non-student) attendees?  noah, or someone else from the area?

Valid question. If we feel it's too high, I'm certain we can consider lowering it, or having a lower fee for students.



# are we reaching out to local industry sufficiently, to help with registrants?

I think we need to do more of this. By my count, I expect the majority of participants will come from Tanzania.
