Hi Team


Am thinking since most people use mobile money  widely in Tanzania, more than options such as VISA  and all, perhaps we should consider this option as well, in which case, we will need someone local to receive the money (TISPA maybe).


We can also consider an option like on-site registration as we have seen some participants in the past register on site.

Agreed that we all need to put our heads down and do our bits to push for rego.

It should be easier this year because we are co-locating with EANOG and tzNOG. So across the 3 of us, we should be able to rally our delegates, but we need to go and chase them. In many cases, even individually.

I am busy chasing speakers for the development of the agenda, so I won't have much time to chase registrations or other logistics. I will need the support of the rest of the OC to do that.

Ultimately, folk won't come by themselves. We have to go make them.

We have 4 weeks to the event.  What this means is that all parties, especially local partners have to NOW, really reach out to the community and get people to participate. So the push has to start now.

I also understand from Noah that there are like 40 people (students) who would like to participate in the conference but is not able to pay for the participation fees.  We need to decide if we will provide fellowship to them.

As of today, we have only 8 registrations for the event, out of which only 3 have paid.

We need to do something about this or we may not have an event.
