Hi Team


Some updates on the venue and accommodation based on deliberations between TISPA team and Serena Hotel.


We can confirm that Serena have blocked the main meeting room together with two outbreak rooms in which they will only charge one room and offer the other room for free.



Serena will offer a special rate of 181.5 (single occupancy) in accommodation for all the delegates who will be attending the meeting.

So I'm working on the CfP (Call for Paper), a draft of which I'll share tonight. Once we all agree on the general topics to work on, we can start pushing it out immediately.

After that, we can begin building the base program agenda skeleton. But in general, I'm looking at the below:

  *   Main plenary for 30-minute conference presentations.
  *   Break-out room for 30-minute conferences presentation.
  *   Break-out room for 90-minute conference tutorials/workshops.
  *   Break-out room for 180-minute conference tutorials/workshops.

Note that the break-out rooms are not dedicated to holding general or tutorial talks. We can use the rooms depending on the content and space available.

I've asked Noah to reserve 1x plenary hall + 2x break-out rooms.

It's great to hear that Techminds and Cisco are keen to share a tutorial.

Not really worried about that this year, as EANOG and TISPA are on-board and will help drive the agenda.

It could be more difficult with just SAFNOG, but if we are successful at it this year, which I believe we will be, it will be easier to solidify going forward.
